Rock Band VR Announced For Oculus Rift

Tonight at The Game Awards, Palmer Luckey, founder of Oculus VR, took to the stage to announce a version of Rock Band that will be compatible his virtual-reality headset.  Due for release in Q1 2016, alongside the hardware product, Rockband VR will put players directly on the stage, and is touted to provide an authentic adrenaline-fuelled band experience.

A trailer was showcased beforehand, providing some first-person gameplay, as well as look into the game’s creative imaginings. The English power-metal band, Dragonforce, is apparently helping in Rock Band VR’s development.
