Walking Dead Season 3 Confirmed, Will “Check In With Clementine”

TellTale Games is returning to the Walking Dead universe, with a new season of the game, and a familiar face that many have been waiting to see.

Creator of the Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman,, confirms that Season 3 will revisit Clementine, the protagonist from Season 2 that many players fell in love with. “We’ll be checking in on Clementine again,” he explains, “so we’ll be seeing her, seeing where she’s at and what’s going on with her, which is going to be great.” Kirkman also explains that Season 3 will catch up to where the latest comics are, and will introduce a much older Clementine.

“”Season 3 will actually be getting pretty close to where we are in the comics currently,” Kirkman explains, “like the books that are coming out now are roughly in the same time frame that Season 3 will be in.” Though reluctant to reveal too much of the story, Kirkman confirms that this season will be much more connected to the comics.

“I think that there will be some more comic book elements that we’ll be working in in some interesting ways. I don’t want to reveal too much, but it’ll definitely go hand-in-hand with the comics a little bit more than Season 2 did.”

At this time, there is no word on a release date for Season 3 or if Clementine will once again be the central protagonist.

Seasons 1 of The Walking Dead game contained 5 episodes each released between April and November of 2012, along with the DLC “400 Days”, which was released in July of 2013. Season 2 also had 5 episodes, each released between December of 2013 and August of 2014.
