Hyper Light Drifter, the action RPG developed by Heart Machine, released for Windows and Mac on March 31, 2016. In the game’s thus far short span, it has already received a fair number of highly glowing reviews from both fans and critics. Of particular note were the visuals and audio. Recently, Heart Machine admitted that HLD originally had a cooperative multiplayer mode planned. However, the mode was cut before release due to time constraints. Now, Heart Machine has opened up a beta for the co-op mode on Steam.
The beta mode went live on April 27, 2016, and is due to end on May 2. That gives players around one week to provide feedback before Heart Machine begins work on integrating the multiplayer for real.
