After revealing South Park: The Fractured But Whole at last years E3, Ubisoft gave players quite a bit of information regarding The Stick of Truth sequel through a gameplay trailer, cinematic trailer, and an on-stage interview with Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
The story within the game takes place on the day following The Stick of Truth wherein the protagonist loses his popularity as a result of a completely new game being played by the kids of South Park. This time around, superheroes are the focus and the player has several classes to choose from. Although only 3 classes were revealed within the trailer (Brutalist, Blaster, and Speedster), it appears as though there will be at least twelve; whether or not these will be available from the beginning is yet to be seen.
While discussing the gameplay, a new combat system was revealed. This new system appears to expand on the original turn-based combat with environmental components and an emphasis on “mastering space and time.”
Ubisoft also revealed that South Park: The Stick of Truth will come as a pre-order bonus. South Park: The Fractured But Whole will release on December 6, 2016 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
