Nintendo’s upcoming Metroid game, Federation Force, has created a very brief video showing what the Amiibo figures will do. Hint: they give players paint jobs. Metorid character Amiibos will also have an un-announced extra gameplay-boosting function. The video below shows them being used in what looks like the main story missions.
The list of compatible Amiibo includes Samus, Zero Suit Samus, Mario, and Bowser. The latter two are aesthetic alterations only and supposedly are only available during Blast Ball matches. There are likely to be more compatible Amiibo, but if so, those will likely also alter the Federation suits.
Metroid Prime: Federation Force releases August 19th in the US, and August 25 in Europe .
