Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics are celebrating 20 years of Lara Croft by showing some well-deserved love to their fans who purchase or play Rise of the Tomb Raider during its 20 Year Celebration launch week.
Upon signing in, players will receive 100,000 credits that can be used to obtain expedition cards for game modes like Chapter Replay, Score Attack, and Remnant Resistance. These cards give modifier bonuses to equipment, weapons, character reskins, or advantages during custom missions.
Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, which sees the release of the title on PS4 for the first time, includes a number of new items including: a new story chapter, Blood Ties, which also includes PlayStation VR support; a co-op endurance game mode; a new extreme survivor difficulty, five classic Lara Croft skins; new weapons, outfits and more.
The Tomb Raider franchise has sold over 46 million copies worldwide and inspired one of the most successful video game film adaptations in history, grossing over $300 million at the global box office with protagonist Lara Croft becoming a contemporary global icon. Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration is set to release October 11, 2016.
