Bravely Default’s Fourth Anniversary Marked With Release of Cryptic Message

Square Enix has today marked the fourth anniversary of its popular Bravely Default series by releasing a cryptic tweet hinting at a forthcoming announcement.

Loosely translated, the tweet reads: “It’s Bravely’s fourth anniversary! We apologise for the lack of news lately. There might be something soon… !?”

Bravely Default, an RPG developed by Silicon Studio, was originally released for the 3DS in Japan on October 11, 2012. It has gone on to spawn numerous localisations, spinoffs and tie-ins, while its direct sequel, Bravely Second: End Layer, was released in 2015.

Although today’s tweet provided no concrete details, it’s unlikely the series’ official account would have teased fans about an upcoming announcement unless something was in the works.
