Online retailer Amazon has discounted its PlayStation Plus subscriptions, allowing users to purchase twelve months of membership at its original price of $49.99.
Earlier this year, Sony announced that it was increasing the price of PS Plus memberships to $59.99 for one year and $24.99 for three months, which rolled out in September.
A PlayStation Plus subscription is required to play the vast majority of PS4 games online, while members also receive access to a number of free games for the duration of their subscription, added on a monthly basis. October’s Instant Game Collection titles are the strongest players have seen for several months, and include PS4 games Resident Evil and Transformers: Devastation, amongst others.
