The third episode in Telltale Games’ Batman series has launched today, and to celebrate, the developer is making the title’s season premiere available for free for a limited time.
Batman: Telltale Series – Episode 1: Realm of Shadows is now available to download at no cost from the Steam storefront for PC, and Google Play for Android until November 7. The offer is not available on any other platform.
Telltale have timed the freebie to coincide with today’s release of the latest episode in the series, subtitled New World Order. In this chapter, Gotham is left reeling after Penguin’s brutal live TV attack, while players must dig deeper into the web of intrigue surrounding the recently revealed Children of Arkham.
The series is rendered to look like a living, breathing comic book, and features Troy Baker in the titular role. It is available on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC and mobile devices. Episodes four and five, titled Guardian of Gotham and City of Lights, respectively, are set to complete the saga when they release over the next couple of months.
The release of Batman’s season premiere for free follows a recent similar move by Telltale with another of its key titles, Minecraft: Story Mode.
