Grid-based VR dungeon crawler Crystal Rift is now available to download for PlayStation VR via the PlayStation Store.
Developed by Windlands’ creator Psytec Games and inspired by classic first-person RPGs such as Eye of the Beholder, Crystal Rift was originally released for the Oculus Rift via Steam Early Access in early 2015. It went on to receive a full release, along with HTC Vive and OSVR support, earlier this year.
The title is now available to play using Sony’s virtual reality headset on the PS4, and can be purchased from the PlayStation Store for £7.99 / $12.99 USD.
The game currently holds mixed reviews on the Steam storefront. Its developer promises that Crystal Rift is “an experiential horror challenge game that takes the player through a series of increasingly mysterious locations”, comprising 26 levels and “many hours of gameplay”.
Power Up Gaming tried out the title back at EGX 2015, where it left us feeling “exhilarated” and “apprehensive” in equal measure.
