Adult Swim Games has announced that Rise and Shine, its newest adventure-platformer, is due to release for PC and Xbox One on January 13, 2017.
Developed by Super Awesome Hyper Dimensional Mega Team, who have experience working on games such as Worms and Plants Vs. Zombies, Rise and Shine is set to combine humor, arcade shooters, along with puzzle mechanics, into one skill-intensive and challenging game. The main characters Rise and his talking-gun-partner Shine, appropriately named, are on a mission to save their planet Gamearth from the evil invaders Nexgen. It’s set inside a video game-themed world, and the characters are looking to restore their world “to prior save state glory.”
The game features hand-drawn graphics, along with meticulously-crafted levels, to create the atmosphere. Rise and Shine will require players to use and find particular add-ons and special bullets for Shine in order to have a chance at saving Gamearth.
