PlayStation Store Sends Out $100 ‘Golden Ticket’ to Selected Users

PS4 Large Cover

As we reported earlier, Sony is currently running a promotional campaign in which subscribers to the PlayStation newsletter have been receiving a one-use 20 percent off coupon code.

However, selected users are getting even luckier; the company is evoking the spirit of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by sending out virtual golden tickets seemingly at random to newsletter subscribers, which equate to a $100 gift card for use on the PlayStation Store.

The tickets contain a voucher code, which can be used on most products on the online PlayStation storefront, including PS4, PS3 and PS Vita games. All golden tickets expire on December 19.
