Annual Speedrunning Event AGDQ 2017 Now Underway

The seventh annual Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) charity speed running marathon has got underway today.

The week-long event, which is being held in support of the Prevent Cancer Foundation, sees well-known members of the speedrunning community completing (mostly) popular games in the shortest amount of time possible, in order to raise funds for the charity.

During the marathon, donations enter viewers into various prize draws, and are used to determine the outcome of various polls. The full event is being streamed online via the official Games Done Quick Twitch channel, and can be viewed in the player below:

A full schedule of games and runners can be viewed on the event’s official website, while a thread on the speedrunning subreddit is keeping a record of all VoDs as they become available.

AGDQ 2016 raised over $1.2 million for charity; at the time of publication, this year’s event has already raised $60,000 and counting.
