The latest script for the live-action Uncharted movie has been finalised, writer Joe Carnahan has confirmed.
In an Instagram post, the veteran producer and screenwriter confirmed that the script for the big-screen adaptation of Naughty Dog’s critically acclaimed action-adventure series was “done and dusted”, and assured fans that “this thing is a beast”.
The Uncharted movie has had a protracted production; it is believed to have originally been green-lighted in 2008. After numerous actors, directions and writers were attached to and subsequently removed from the project over the past several years, Sony Pictures fast-tracked the movie to completion back in October by bringing in Shawn Levy as director.
Filming is set to finally begin early this year.
