With less than 24 hours to go until its supposed launch, it has become clear that Sony’s official PS4 Platinum Wireless Headset has been quietly delayed.
Numerous retailers, which originally listed the launch date of the headset as January 12 – as announced by Sony – have now either pushed the release date back or removed it from their listings entirely.
Amazon now claims the headset, which offers 7.1 virtual surround sound, 3D audio and PSVR compatibility, is scheduled to release on January 31; while Best Buy, Target and Walmart have all removed the device’s release date entirely.
We have reached out to Sony for an official confirmation on the delay.
