With all of the major US retailers selling through their initial allocation of Nintendo Switch stock online earlier in the week, you would have been forgiven for thinking you’d have to wait until launch day to secure your console.
However, since the publication of our original story, a representative for Walmart got in touch with Power Up Gaming to let us know that the retailer is still accepting pre-orders in-store, with customers able to put down a 10 percent deposit to secure their Switch for March 3.
A spokesman for the retailer said: “Customers can pre-order in Walmart stores by putting 10 percent down to reserve the Switch. Customers should visit the Pickup desk to pre-order the item. Pre-orders are available while supplies last. Pre-ordering through Walmart guarantees customers will have the Switch console on launch day.”
