The Last Of Us 2 is one of the most anticipated games of 2019 and people can’t wait for the title to come out. It seems that the release date of the Naughty Dog-developed release date has been leaked by Amazon Italy in a recent listing. According to the listing, The Last Of Us 2 will launch on March 29, 2019.
Keeping in mind that the game was shown off at E3 2018, it is possible that we could get the game in early 2019 but it will have to face competition as there are a couple of games that are coming out around the same time. The major titles that are coming in February 2019 include the following:
- Overkill’s The Walking Dead
- God Eater 3
- Crackdown 3
- Far Cry New Dawn
- Jump Force
- Metro: Exodus
- Anthem
Then, moving on to March, we have the following major titles that The Last Of Us 2 will have to compete with:
- Devil May Cry 5
- The Division 2
- Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
- Final Fantasy 15: Episode Ardyn DLC
If The Last Of Us 2’s release date is accurate then it will have a lot of competition. This is an initial leak and the release date has not been confirmed by the developer, so do take this information with a grain of salt. If the release date is indeed accurate then we should get an official announcement in a few weeks.
There is no official art on the cover and the pictures that we see are taken from the E3 2018 trailer. Keeping that in mind this release date could be a placeholder rather than the actual release date of The Last Of Us 2.
It is possible that we could get a closer look into the game in the form of developer interviews or a new trailer of some sort. There is a lot of hype around The Last of Us 2 and I am sure that the fans want the game to meet expectations. Naughty Dog has set the bar pretty high and it will be interesting to see what the developer brings to the table this time.
