Does Epic Games Pay Ninja to Play Fortnite?

Ninja is one of the most popular streamers that play Fortnite. So popular that he even landed in this year’s YouTube rewind video, which turned out to be one of the most disliked videos on the platform. Ninja did a short segment for Wired, where he answered some of the most searched questions on the internet that are about him.

There was no surprise that people were searching for answers to whether or not Ninja was paid to play Fortnite Battle Royale. He was a bit hesitant about answering but then he organized his thoughts and said the following about the matter:

I have to really think about this, because I don’t want to misspeak. I don’t think I’ve been paid by them to do anything, ever. Other than what they’ve done for everyone like the Support-A-Creator code, and they didn’t pay me for that. So no, Fortnite has not paid me.

Ninja also mentioned some interesting information about him. He mentioned that he was married and that while he has played games on consoles such as PlayStation and Xbox he is currently gaming on a PC. He also mentioned that he bought the Battle Pass for Fortnite and earned the XP for the different tiers. Keeping in mind that Ninja is a major Fortnite player and that he streams the game for more than 10 hours a day, it would not be surprising that he is able to max out tiers in no time at all.

Talking about his rig, not only did he mention that he used a gaming PC to play Fortnite he also mentioned that he used an internal capture card in order to stream videos online.

Let us know what you think about Ninja and whether or not you think he is being paid by Epic Games to play Fortnite.
