Good News Everyone! GTA 5 Is Free On The Epic Game Store

Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA 5) is one of the biggest games of the past generation. Having originally launched for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it soon made its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, before finally launching on PC as well. when it hit PC, GTA 5 exploded in popularity thanks to mods and a new video recording and editing feature included on that version exclusively. If you haven’t at least played the game by now, you’ve probably been actively avoiding it because of price. Well now is your chance to get it for nothing at all, because it’s free on the Epic Games Store.

If you head to the Epic Games Store before May 21, you can pick up GTA 5 for free. If you want to go straight to the game’s page, click here.

GTA 5 really is a crowning jewel of the current generation of gaming, which will end in holiday 2020 with the launch of the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X. The world is vast and open, with many discoveries to make. It could take you a few years to find everything that’s hidden away in the world, especially if you don’t use a guide online to pick up every item in the game.

With the core campaign mode being more than enough for any gamer, you might think that it’s worth getting for the single player experience alone. However, GTA 5 also packs in GTA Online, an MMO-esque world of GTA that never ends. There are repeatable missions, fun multiplayer match types, and just a whole new world to explore, but this one is filled with other players who will almost certainly try to kill you.

Both GTA 5, thanks to mods, and GTA Online, have barely seen any drop in popularity. Rockstar Games has continued to support the online world for years now, and they’re showing no sign of dropping that support. It’s possible, since GTA Online is such a money-maker, that the game will even be upgraded for next-generation gaming technology. If you’re looking for a worthwhile MMO to get into for free, then this is it. Or you could just play the hundreds of available hours in single player. Either way, this is better than any bargain you’ll see in the next year.
