GTA 5 really is a crowning jewel of the current generation of gaming, which will end in holiday 2020 with the launch of the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X. The world is vast and open, with many discoveries to make. It could take you a few years to find everything that’s hidden away in the world, especially if you don’t use a guide online to pick up every item in the game.
With the core campaign mode being more than enough for any gamer, you might think that it’s worth getting for the single player experience alone. However, GTA 5 also packs in GTA Online, an MMO-esque world of GTA that never ends. There are repeatable missions, fun multiplayer match types, and just a whole new world to explore, but this one is filled with other players who will almost certainly try to kill you.
Both GTA 5, thanks to mods, and GTA Online, have barely seen any drop in popularity. Rockstar Games has continued to support the online world for years now, and they’re showing no sign of dropping that support.
