Ubisoft Forward is happening this Sunday from 20.30pm CEST. The event is set to last for about an hour, but boy is Ubisoft packing a lot into that hour. The developer and publisher is using this live event as their opportunity to showcase everything they have coming up, and everything else that they just want to share, for both the year ahead and beyond. It’s going to be an incredibly exciting event, and I can barely wait to watch it.
Ubisoft has now given us an insight into what they’re going to be showing us this week. First is going to be some incredible news for the Ghost Recon Breakpoint community, AI teammates. This has been a requested feature since the game launched, and it sounds like it’s finally close to fruition. As someone who doesn’t have great internet all the time, I would really appreciate a group of AI characters backing me up around Auroa. I also think that we’ll get a glimpse at some of the other new content coming to the game.
There’s going to be a news report for Just Dance 2020, which I imagine will be a game update that adds new songs and dances. Maybe there will even be a new game mode coming this year.
The Division 2 is also getting a look-in, though that’s no surprise considering how popular the game is. Ubisoft says that their deep dive will relate to a beloved easter egg, so watch out for that.
Despite the gameplay leaking early, it looks as though a walkthrough with actual gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is also on the way. This will be the first proper look at the gameplay that we’ll be getting, and I think it’s going to steal the show.
Watch Dogs Legion has basically disappeared since the beginning of the year. I think that Ubisoft is going to surprise us with an imminent launch date for the game, because I don’t see how they’d need more time to work on it if it was almost ready for us earlier in the year.
Finally, there’s Hyper Scape. This is a new battle royale game from Ubisoft, and many people seem to think that it’s rather good. Hopefully the deeper dive that Ubisoft provides will show us exactly how good the game can be. I’m expecting season passes, meaningful account upgrades and cosmetics, and much more.
