It can’t have escaped you just how in love the internet has become with Lady Dimitrescu of Resident Evil Village. Ever since she was properly shown off during Capcom’s digital event for the game, there has been no end of expressions of appreciation for this key villain. She’s a faint vampire who is going to spend the better part of the game chasing players around at a very reasonable pace, and we all love her for it. Many players will probably just let her grab them because they want to please her. Capcom can be added to those list of players now.
Your love for Lady Dimitrescu is loud and clear. 👒
Here's a message from our RE Village art director Tomonori Takano, along with a very curious fact you may have wondered about: pic.twitter.com/Lj4m5pN2dJ

In their tweet, Tomonori Takano, the Art Director on Resident Evil Village expresses his gratitude for the outpouring of love for this character. He goes on to say that the love has been unprecedented both domestically and internationally, so it sounds like Japanese fans are just as onboard as we all are. He also gives us some accurate details about her height. Apparently, if you include her hat, she’s 2.9 meters tall, or 9 feet and 6 inches. That’s a very tall woman. Too tall for most of us, but that won’t stop us from trying to get as close as possible.
Takano also gives us a hint about Dimitrescue and her daughters. He says that they’ll be pursuing Ethan relentlessly throughout Castle Dimitrescu. This adds some credence to theories that Lady Dimitrescu will be stalking the halls in search of Ethan. Now it looks like her three daughters will be doing exactly the same thing as well. I think that’s almost more terrifying because they can phase through doors as swarms of bugs.
Above all else, this news shows that Capcom is very much in tune with their fans. They created a character that they thought we’d like, and now they’re addressing the love and encouraging it. This is what a good developer does. In the past, Capcom may have lost their way with this series, but it’s safe to say that they’re back on track as of Resident Evil 7. Hopefully, this next entry doesn’t do anything to disappoint us.
