Even though there have been quite a few good new games released so far in 2021, we’re always on the look out for something new. I’ve been binging the content in Hitman 3, but my shooter itch is growing stronger. That’s why I think that this week is the perfect time to load up Apex Legends again and get stuck into Season 8. The latest season has only just started, and there’s no better time to start a season in any shooter than the first week it starts. You’ve got months ahead of you to progress through the battle pass, which means you’ll probably make the most of all of the cosmetics on offer in that battle pass.
I’m a real rookie when it comes to Apex Legends, but every new season makes me want to jump in with a fresh attitude. There’s a new battle pass to work though, and everyone is on the same level when it comes to getting into the ranks for this season. I feel like I’m wasting money if I don’t earn everything in a battle pass, which is generally why I shy away from them. If I have the entire season to work though a pass though, that’s different. If I play every day at least once, I’m guaranteed to get through that battle pass, which should be enough for me.
Considering the drought of releases for the next month or so, I’d say that it’s pretty safe to jump into Apex Legends and get stuck into Season 8. This is a game that offers hundreds of cosmetics for playing, not just those in the battle pass. I think it’s crazy how little you have to spend to get what feels like a full release’s worth of content out of it. I do understand that it isn’t for everyone though.
Even so, I think that right now is the perfect time to give this game a go. There’s nothing else on the radar, unless you’re counting your backlog of unfinished games. Take this rare opportunity to jump into an amazing game on any platform and smash out a battle pass to start your year off right.
