Users’ Most-Wanted Game Remakes Revealed

Tomb Raider

The original Tomb Raider has emerged as the most popular choice for a remastered game among UK players.

Out of the 1,000 participants surveyed by Buzz Casino, a significant 24% expressed their desire to relive the adventure of acquiring the enigmatic artefact known as ‘The Scion,’ making the Lara Croft classic the clear favourite.

Given its initial release was in 1996, it’s not surprising that Tomb Raider garnered the highest preference among respondents aged 55-64, with a notable 30% selecting this cult classic.

When examining gender preferences, male gamers exhibited the most enthusiasm for a Tomb Raider remaster, with 27% of votes compared to 20% from female gamers.

Among all the cities surveyed, Belfast stood out as the most eager to see a Tomb Raider remake, with an impressive 58% of participants choosing this option.

Joining Tomb Raider in the top three choices were Call of Duty: World at War and Mario Kart: Double Dash.

Interestingly, 15% of the participants identified as gaming purists and opted for ‘None of the above,’ suggesting a growing desire for new game creations rather than revisiting the past.

Although Grand Theft Auto VI might be in development, GTA 4 ranked fourth on the list of games desired for a remaster, following the popularity of the first three remakes. Furthermore, the demand for this particular game remaster was more than twice as high among men compared to women.

The Simpsons Hit & Run claimed the fifth spot, with individuals aged 25-34 showing a particular fondness for the idea of a remake. Approximately 14% of respondents in this age group expressed their eagerness to relive their youth through this game.

Completing the top ten were Red Dead Redemption, James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing, FIFA Street, Silent Hill, and Assassin’s Creed, which all received notable mentions from the surveyed gamers.
