Other than TV shows and movies, Nolan North has voiced numerous characters in video games. Here are some of the best performances that he has given:
Destiny: Ghost
Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), previously did the voice acting for Ghost in Destiny. He was later replaced by Nolan North, who remains the voice actor for the character. Ghost is the companion of the player, who is embued by the light and can resurrect or heal the player. The Ghost is also the voice of the player since the player’s character rarely has lines.
God of War (2018): Modi
God of War was brought back from the dead and reimagined by Cory Barlog in 2018 and Nolan North played the role of Modi, Thor’s son. Modi’s brother Magni is voiced by none other than Troy Baker. The duo are power-hungry gods that made great villains in the game.
Shadow of Mordor: The Black Hand of Sauron
Troy Baker and Nolan North worked their magic once again in The Shadow of Mordor. While Troy Baker played the protagonist Talion, Nolan North played the leader of the Black Captains, the Black hand of Sauron. The Black hand of Sauron killed Talion’s family and Talion now seeks revenge. Nolan North and Troy Baker were amazing picks for the part and their voice acting is exceptional.
Deadpool: Deadpool / Wade Wilson
Today we can only imagine Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool but before the movies came out it was Nolan North that brought the character to life in the game. North did an excellent job and is regarded as the one who voiced Deadpool the best.
Assassin’s Creed Series: Desmond Miles
Desmond Miles was not as cool as his ancestors Ezio or Altair but he was still a modern-day assassin. Nolan North did an excellent job of voicing the character who went from making drinks to taking on the templars in the hope of a better future and protecting millions of lives.
The Last Of Us: David
The Last of Us is another game in which both Nolan North and Troy Baker have come together to work their magic. While Baker plays Joel, North plays David, a cannibal who wants Ellie to himself. While North’s character does not make an appearance until later on in the game, the performance is excellent making David a villain to remember.
Batman: Arkham Series: Oswald Cobblepot / The Penguin
Other than Nathan Drake, one of the most iconic roles that Nolan North has played is that of The Penguin in Batman: Arkham series. You do not recognize his voice from the get-go because of the cockney accent but it is an exceptional performance indeed, which everyone who has played the games has admired.
Uncharted Series: Nathan Drake
This list would be incomplete without mentioning Nolan North as Nathan Drake in Uncharted. The series comprises four games and takes players on an epic adventure as an explorer and thief. You could even call it the modern version of Indiana Jones.
