Lego Fortnite is a survival game developed by Epic Games in collaboration with LEGO company. It has stormed into the survival genre and players can’t get enough of it.
Similar to other sandbox survival games, LEGO Fortnite’s key feature is the Key Holder system, which grants friends special access to your world. In this guide, we will help you make someone a Key Holder in LEGO Fortnite and explain the perks they receive.
How to Make Someone a Key Holder in LEGO Fortnite
In LEGO Fortnite, Key Holders are players who have full access to a world, even when the owner is offline. If you want to make someone a Key Holder in LEGO Fortnite, follow this step-by-step guide:
- Launch LEGO Fortnite and select the LEGO game mode from the main lobby.
- Choose the world you want to share and enter it.
- Invite your friends to your party and world. They need to be online and join your world for you to make them a Key Holder.
- Once your friend is in your world, open the main menu. You can access this menu by pressing the “M” key on your keyboard (or the equivalent button on your controller).
- Navigate to the “Players” tab. This tab will display a list of all players currently in your world.
- Select the name of the friend you want to make a Key Holder.
- Look for the “Share Key” button located at the bottom of the menu. This button might also be represented by a key icon.
- Click on the “Share Key” button. You will see a confirmation message asking you to verify if you want to grant this player Key Holder privileges.
- Confirm your selection. Once confirmed, your friend will become a Key Holder for your world. There will also be a confirmation pop-up on your screen.
There can be up to seven keyholders in LEGO Fortnite and they can have extensive privileges, almost exactly like the world creator.
- They can freely enter and modify your world, just like you, the creator. This means building, destroying, and making any permanent changes that will be visible to everyone playing in the world.
- Unlike regular players who require you to be online to join your world, Key Holders have their own key (quite literally!). This grants them access to your world anytime, regardless of your online status.
- They enjoy the same level of control over the world as you do. So, they can build, destroy, collect resources, and basically do anything you can within the world.
