With the new season of Call of Duty: Warzone, there are a swathe of new challenges, called ‘Warzone Rewards’ which offer new camos for each section completed, but don’t fear, here’s how to do them without breaking a sweat.
As a self-professed filthy casual (albeit not literally – I do shower, thank you for asking), I look for the easiest route to give my guns a shiny new lick of paint. There are often ways to make these challenges far easier than they initially appear and if Google is good for one thing, it’s the fact it’s brought you here to my wonderful words that’ll make it all that much easier.
So without further ado, let’s get you those rewards.
WZ Rewards – Section: Combat Expertise
Buy Loadout Weapons in Buy Stations
Who said anything about keeping your teammates happy? Go into Plunder, get a lot of money and buy them all in one go. This can be done in a single match and pretty easily. Just apologise to your team afterwards.
Get Operator Headshot Kills
Git gud? No, this is half luck during a fight but it’s easy to do this with other objectives. Down them, headshot them, stick ‘em in a stew.
Best done with: Kill downed Operators with a Throwing Knife (Redacted), Kill Operators pinged by a squadmate (Cooperation).
Wipe Out Squads
A single player still counts as a squad. There, I’ve just blown your mind. Either singles matches or get lucky elsewhere, this is pretty self-explanatory.
Reach the Top 3 in Warzone
They don’t specify what mode… which is your big hint there. Go onto Plunder, and actually care about winning. Don’t even need to fight, loot and do contracts – if someone shoots then you can run.
No one cares about winning on Plunder; this is easy.
Best combined with: visit 5 POIs (Mobility).
Warzone Rewards – Section: Cooperation
Assist a Squadmate in an Elimination
One bullet counts as an assist – just take one shot, and hope your buddy wins. Just stick together and this gets done quickly.
Perform Squad Assemblies
You really need a friend to do this one as that initial bit of cooperation is tough. It isn’t impossible, though. On duos with a stranger it can be done. Just follow them in, mark the rough spot and you’ll tick this off.
Kill Operators Pinged By a Squadmate
It doesn’t matter if you’re alone, you still count as a squadmate so you can just down someone by yourself, ping them, kill them and succeed.
Best done with: Operator Headshot Kills (Combat Expertise) or kill downed operators with a throwing knife (Redacted).
Acquire $20,000 from Squadmates and Spend it All at Buy Stations in a Single Match
It’s a single match, but not a single match. You can progressively throw money to your friend to buy things as the match goes on. Currently, this seems an inconsistent objective, whereby the same actions have worked for me, but not my teammate. Stick with it, although this is probably the most surprisingly difficult objective here.
Warzone Rewards – Section: Mobility
Travel 500m Using Tactical Sprint
Erm, just run? If there’s any objective you’ll do accidentally it’s this one. Best done with: literally any other objective you’ll do on Plunder.
Use Redeploy Drone Beacons (RDBs)
This is a great objective, as it highlights a new addition while being really easy. For this jump into a battle royale game, find the most out-of-the-way spot and open a few boxes. These have a high spawn rate in Battle Royale so this won’t take long. Then, use it, ride it quickly but jump off. It’ll tick one of the instances off and you can then reuse the same one although they do disappear after a while. Using this method you’ll need between two or three, depending on if someone sees you, realises what you’re doing and kills you. It’s pretty easy.
Visit 5 Unique POIs in a Single Match
It’s hard to tell exactly what they mean by a ‘unique POI [Point Of Interest]’ but hop in a car on Plunder and keep driving. A big thing to note is that you can do this objective multiple times in a single match. Just drive baby, drive.
Get an Operator Kill in Three Unique POIs in a Single Match
This can be a pain, but Plunder is generally your best bet. Try to get a kill through the inactives, move to Old Town, kill someone there, then elsewhere but use UAVs or bounty contracts to help find people. I’d not recommend doing all five instances of this in one sitting, it can be tiring. It can also be done in Resurgence and other modes so give yourself a break from Plunder if you’re finding it tough.
Call of Duty Warzone Rewards – Section: Redacted
Get Operator Kills with a Suppressor Muzzle
Exactly what it sounds like, find your favourite gun or one of the current Metas (I currently use Warzonestats.gg) then change the muzzle to a suppressor. Plunder, kill the inactives, head to Old Town, the usual tricks are at play here.
Kill Downed Operators with a Throwing Knife
Exactly what it sounds like, just get that final shot with the knife. Plunder is your friend due to starting with your loadout, if you’re good enough this can be done with the headshot or the pinging objective but keep your good aim.
Activate Three UAVs at the Same Time
It can be a pain, but get $150,000 on Plunder and go somewhere like the Suburbs as there are multiple buy stations. Not every one of them will offer UAVs but enough of them will. Activate them one after the other then go find your next $150,000. This can be done multiple times in the same match so with a bit of luck you can do it all in one match.
Complete a Contract after the Third Circle
So, avoid the much-loved Rebirth Island for this, it’s comfortably the worst map for it. If you’re good with stealth then Urzikstan on Battle Royale can be useful, but the circle will always be small by this point. The key word here is ‘after’, make sure the number on the left-hand side under the map is at 4. You can pick up a contract before this but ensure it completes with the number at four.
Vondel is probably the easiest map for this, as getting around quietly is easy here. You can do multiple contracts after the third circle although it is tough. Bounties are also a good insurance contract with fights naturally picking up by this point. One last thing to note here is that you do not need to be alive, if you’ve picked it up and died it does not matter if it completes while your teammate is still going, it’ll still count.
So, there are my lazy picks for completing the Warzone Rewards challenges, each of the individual sections unlocks a new camo for use with any gun so these do come very highly recommended.
They’ve learned their lessons with this, as last season’s came with the challenge of ‘reach the top 10 without going to the gulag or dying’ which required it to be done 20 times, which was honestly awful.
Anyway, here’s to next season.
