Strinova Characters by Tier
S-Tier Characters in Strinova
- Celestia (Support)
Celestia, being a healing support that tethers to allies, is key in any fight. Her skills aid the team incredibly well, and are mostly passive when activated. Additionally, the Polaris assault rifle Celestia uses outperforms many characters and is the dominant weapon in a gunfight. It is essential to have a Celestia on your team at any time.
- Michele (Sentinel)
Michele is effective at providing support with her turrets. Placing them on any objective will ensure that it is more easily held, as they can guard it. Furthermore, her passive is a great aid for teammates, as it reveals those who deal damage to her. Players wanting that extra bit of assistance can rely on Michele’s ultimate to deal damage and distract foes by doing so.
- Nobunaga (Sentinel)
Nobunaga works well at holding areas, especially choke points. By using his active skill, players place Guardian Eyes, which boosts his rate of fire, tech power, and armor regen. Getting to shoot faster and also earning your armor back faster is a great combination to help win gunfights.
- Kokona (Support)
Kokona is another top-tier choice that is also a support. Having her drone heal players while following them around is key to multitasking and providing for the team. The Superstring Rebuild ultimate is also key to turning the tide of a fight, as it can bring back a dead teammate. Kokona possesses a sniper rifle that deals moderate damage from the chest upwards, something which is great for long corridor conflicts.
- Ming (Duelist)
Ming’s Sunder orb is great for clearing points enemies may be hiding or holding. Additionally, dealing any damage with Ming returns armor to whatever she is missing. This active skill is fantastic survivability for players looking to push up on enemies and have greater success in walking away from a firefight. Ming’s ultimate ability only further increases survivability, and the dealing of slowness will disorient any enemy, giving you and your team a big advantage.
A-Tier Characters in Strinova
- Reiichi (Controller)
Reiichi specializes in blocking or deflecting enemy attacks with his Daybreak skill. However, his Dawnpiercer skill doesn’t quite make him a better choice, as it only highlights enemies for himself while in the ADS mode. But he makes up for it with a strong sniper rifle that, when paired with his Holy Waveshield ultimate, will make any long-range encounter a one-sided fight in favor of Reiichi players.
- Audrey (Sentinel)
Audrey works well at laying down pressure on enemies. Her Guns Blazing skill, if controlled properly, can keep gunfire on enemy positions without letting up. The Royal Shield passive works great in unison with Guns Blazing to offer protection and keep enemies down. Audrey is a good pick for newcomers to the game, offering both offense and defensive capabilities.
- Maddelena (Controller)
Maddelena being able to not only track enemies with her passive but slow them down and string block with Pigment Bind are great strengths of a Controller.
B-Tier Characters in Strinova
- Meredith (Controller)
Meredith lacks as a Controller. Her Sand Tsunami skill, while good at covering an area, can easily be avoided. Furthermore, her Zeroth Rings passive is very situational, with something else better off replacing it. However, with her faults, Meredith’s Sand Burial ultimate is big and works well if you flank an enemy group and surprise them at the area they are sitting in. But when it comes to Controllers, there are definitely better choices.
- Kanami (Initiator)
Kanami works well at providing her teammates with intel on enemy locations almost all of the time. Both her Active and Passive skills provide different means to expose enemies, and the effect is visible to all allies. Kanami’s ultimate, Performance Art, if used during a period where enemies are visible can lead to the perfect ambush where enemies are slowed and can’t aim properly.
- Lawine (Initiator)
Lawine features both Active and Passive that are almost identical to Kanami’s, albeit, her passive only affects her and not the whole team. However, her ability is perfect for sneaking around choke points and getting the perfect flank on the enemy. Furthermore, by doing this, any enemies that are also hit with Pulse Blade would provide fantastic intel to your team.
C-Tier Characters in Strinova
- Bai Mo (Duelist)
Bai Mo’s skills feel lackluster compared to other Duelists. Being able to teleport and reload with Mystic Dance does not feel great if you are already reloaded, and when it comes to his ultimate, players can camp the beacon and wait for you to spawn.
- Fuschia (Duelist)
Fushcia’s skills are situational and can be tough for players to use. The War Feed passive, which heals you, must be collected, which can be tough in a hectic match. Furthermore, the tracking of Track Elements differs between wounded and full-health enemies, which can be disorienting to keep track of while playing.
- Flavia (Duelist)
Flavia can be a good character. However, due to her abilities benefitting from taking damage, she takes time to get used, which can result in some unwanted deaths. Players wanting to use Flavia will need to adjust their playstyles and make use of being very aggressive.
D-Tier Characters in Strinova
- Yvette (Controller)
Many of Yvette’s skills require her not to move, which, for their gameplay, doesn’t work well. For example, her Snowfall passive allows her to go invisible. But if the enemy team changes locations during a fight, the Yvette player is revealed, making it useless. Additionally, providing her with an SMG feels like a bad choice, as holding down an area while up close can be tough.
