The second is by defeating the hidden Demolishers on Nessus after getting the Assimilated Beacon. The first method is very straightforward and the fastest way to do it. However, it also has just as much of a chance of spawning the shell as a reward. Players wishing to try the second option can follow the steps below:
- Complete the NES006 mission for Failsafe.
- Defeat any of the three Assimilated Demolishers in Battlegrounds missions.
- The Well of Flame in Battleground: Delve
- Aqueducts in the Battleground: Conduit mission.
- Planetary Depths in Battleground: Core.
- After defeating any of the Assimilated Demolishers in the missions, finish them for a chance to get the Assimilated Beacon.
- Head to the location directly north of the landing point in Watcher’s Grave on Nessus.
- Interact with the Conduit tower to spawn and defeat the bosses before the five-minute timer ends.
- The Ronin Ghost Shell will be rewarded by chance after defeating the bosses.
Players will know they are in the right area, as the Assimilated Demolishers will spawn out of the Vex Portals in each Battleground mission.

Players do need to own the Episode: Echoes to get the Ronin Ghost Shell. The activities and even the prerequisite of unlocking the shell are in the episode. However, owning either one of them is needed to acquire the Ronin Ghost Shell through the new versions of the Battlegrounds activities.
