Rat’s Nest is one of the earlier tasks you will have to do for Handshake in Gray Zone Warfare. Unlike most other tasks you have done up to this point, Rat’s Nest will have you going to a few different parts of your starting town. This can make the task quite a confusing one for many new players. This guide will show you which buildings you need to head to and what times you need to find to complete Rat’s Nest.
Rat’s Nest Task In Gray Zone Warfare
In order to complete Rat’s Nest, you will need to track down intel from two houses on the north and south end of town. These houses can be found at the following marked locations.
The first house over by the town hall is a single-story house that will be guarded by a few AI that you will need to take out. The house is marked with red graffiti, you will want to find a notebook inside that belongs to the gang leader. The notebook should be on a table inside the house. Just be careful of the AI that are guarding the house as they can quickly swarm you if you are unprepared for them.
The second building is clear on the other side of the town. It can be found next to the convenience store. It is the open lot building next to the location you went to for Lab Rat’s Meds Wanted task. The item you are looking for can be found on the second story of the house on the lot. You will be looking for a cell phone belonging to the gang leader at this house.
This area will also have a couple of AI guards, so make sure you come ready for a fight. Once you have both items you can head back to base camp and hand them over to Handshake to complete the task. You don’t need to hand them both over at the same time if you want to divide this mission into two trips. Make sure you put your quest items into your secure container once you collect them. That way you won’t lose them if you die.
Rat’s Nest Task Rewards
Once you complete Rat’s Nest, you will be given the following rewards:
- 400 Experience
- 100 Reputation with Handshake
- 3,600 USD
- x1 Patrol backpack
Like most early-game quests, the main draw for finishing this up soon is the reputation increase with Handshake. Getting your reputation level up will give you access to much better gear to use. Which makes surviving the world much easier. If you are having trouble with any other quests consider checking out our guides for Hazardous Treasures, Native Negotiations and Invaders From Afar.
