The improvements in graphical fidelity mark a major upgrade for the classic map, as Black Ops 6 is developed to take advantage of current-gen advancements in both console and PC hardware.
When does Black Ops 6 Nuketown Launch?
Nuketown is slated to arrive on CoD Black Ops 6 servers on November 1, 2024. While an exact release time isn’t detailed by Treyarch, it is expected to launch at 10 AM PDT, in accordance with the existing map launch timings in Call of Duty.
The remastered Nuketown is slated to be share the same layout and map design as the original Nuketown, first launched in 2010’s Call of Duty: Black Ops. The official blog post by Treyarch details this map as “Nuketown in its most original form, with a bright and bleached desert landscape, and even a double rainbow to gaze at, taking you all the way back to where it all began.”
The bus and container truck remain the map’s focal hotspots for combat and action, along with the interiors of the house which can be used to peek and shoot.”That is provided you’re not put off by the dead gaze of the plastic people inhabiting the cul-de-sac on the corner of Latchkey Road and Trinity Avenue,” detailed Treyarch. Meanwhile, fans can also look forward to the Season 1 content drop for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone, scheduled to arrive in November.
