WWE 2K25 will release in the first quarter of 2025, dispelling speculation about the title being delayed.
Publisher Take-Two Interactive confirmed that the latest installment of its pro wrestling sim series will launch in Q4 of its 2025 fiscal year, equating to the period between January 1 to March 31, 2025 on the yearly calendar.
The news comes from the software giant’s latest trading and earnings call, cementing the release window it originally announced for WWE 2K25 back in summer.
A lack of understanding around company fiscal vs. calendar years created somewhat of a frenzy in the immediate aftermath, with many fearing the title had been pushed back to the back end of the year. Based on the structure of Take-Two’s typical financial cycle, however, we can confirm this is not the case.

Considering the numerous patches and heavy discounts WWE 2K24 has received since launching in March of this year, it remains to be seen whether fans will pull the trigger come release day. Take-Two will certainly be banking on being able to capitalise on WrestleMania season and the associated fan fever, as the title is set to be released ahead of WrestleMania 41. In 2025, the WWE’s showpiece event takes place later than usual, being held over two nights during Easter weekend in Las Vegas.
It is yet to be confirmed whether WWE 2K25 will be available across current and last-gen consoles, with release platforms slated as ‘TBA’ in the official memo that accompanied the call. WWE 2K24 could yet prove the be the final outing for the series on Xbox One and PS4.
