How to Enable Auto Loot in WoW

WoW Enable Auto Loot

World of Warcraft offers a lot of loot and picking it all up can get tedious rather quickly. Luckily, an auto loot option can make looting much faster and more efficient. In this WoW guide, I cover how you can enable the auto loot feature.

If you are looting enemies manually, you need to right-click on dead enemies and then left-click on every item that you want to add to your inventory. This can take up a lot of time, considering how many enemies you encounter and the loot that they drop. With auto loot enabled you simply right-click and everything is moved to your backpack.

Once you are logged into the WoW, press the Escape key (esc) to bring up the options. Select interface options and select controls. This is where you will find auto loot. Check the box next to auto loot to enable the feature.

If you do not have this setting enabled then you can use shift + click to loot mobs. You can also use the same method to skin animals, mine veins, and harvest select herbs. Note that is you have enabled auto loot in the settings of the game then pressing shift + click will not auto loot.

Auto loot was added to World of Warcraft in patch 1.9.0 and was made a settable option in the interface options in patch 2.0.1.
