However, once you do, there is plenty to enjoy, and all of that can be found below:
- Players keep their current Level, Spells, Weapons, Armors, Spirits, Vessels, Gourds, Drinks, Materials, Soaks, Curious, Medicines, and Will.
- Three new weapons to craft: Adept Spine-Shooting Fuban Staff, Dark Iron Staff, and Stormflash Loong Staff.
- Soul Remigration Pill Formula is available to buy from Xu Dog.
- Effect: Upon use, the item grants resurrection upon death before triggering the Live Saving Strand for a time.
- Qing-Tian Gourd is available to buy from Shen Monkey.
- Effect: Slowly recovers Gourd uses.
- Guanyin’s Willow Leaf soak is available to purchase from Shen Monkey.
- Effect: Upon resurrection in battle, recovers Gourd uses.
- Free Mind Relic is automatically given to the player if the Erlang questline is completed.
- Each time a Relic is re-collected, a second node can be chosen.
- Curios slots are increased with NG+.
- The Life-Saving Strand Spell is automatically given to the player.
- Effect: The player will return with full health, but the Gourd will not be filled.
- Duplicate Spirits, Fragrant Vines, and Medicines are converted into Will.

Yes, Black Myth: Wukong allows players to run more cycles of New Game Plus after the first one is complete. As with the first mode, players need to complete the story on New Game Plus to start a new cycle of it. Luckily, not only do you get to keep leveling up and earn skills, but you get more benefits. Players can continue to earn Curios slots with each new cycle (with a max of up to five). Additionally, Relics can have two extra nodes total by doing a third round of NG+.
However, players do need to be aware that as they push through each NG+, the enemies will get tougher. Therefore, while you get to continue leveling, the enemies will start to feel as strong or stronger than they did.
