Entertainment industry leaker account, VSCOOPER, has once again come out with with alleged details regarding the upcoming latest instalment in the Tomb Raider franchise. According to a post shared on the VSCOOPER X/Twitter account, the upcoming adventure game will be an open-world affair, featuring a prime Lara Croft on the hunt for mythical weapons.
Last May, VSCOOPER broke the first major rumours about Lara Croft’s latest adventure in a X/Twitter post sharing alleged insider information that the new game will be set in India. According to the post, the general plot will involve a race between Lara and a group known as the Society of Raiders to be the first to obtain a collection of ancient artifacts unearthed by a natural disaster.
As always when it comes to rumors, take all of this with a healthy dose of salt. There has been no official statement from Crystal Dynamics or its publisher, Amazon, regarding the new game’s contents or plot. At this point in time, the only thing that is confirmed is that a new Tomb Raider game is indeed in the works since at least 2022, when the project was first announced.
