Pokemon Pokopia: Cotton Spores Farming Guide

Cotton Jumpluff in Pokopia

The cotton spores are a special event resource in Pokemon Pokopia, which are tied to the “More Spores for Hoppip!” event, introducing Hoppip with new rewards, decorations, and habitats. This guide will provide you with tips and tricks for the most efficient cotton spores farming methods, as well as tips on how to use them in the game.

How to Obtain Cotton Spores

You won’t be able to find cotton spores in the main world areas like the Withered Wasteland or your habitats. The only reliable way to farm them is by visiting the Dream Islands. You can do so by interacting with Drifloon and showing him a Poke Doll of your choice. But any plush doll works for cotton spores, though different ones may affect other resources on the island. Once you’re there, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Look out for floating clusters of white, fluffy cotton spores that appear as little white flowers with puffy air spores.
  2. Walk up to them and press the Y button to collect.
  3. They spawn in various spots, such as hills, mountains, open areas, underground, caves, and are generally scattered across the map.

Note that a single visit to the Dream Island with some thorough exploration typically yields around 50–70 cotton spores. So be sure to collect as many as possible before leaving, since they don’t respawn on the same visit. For efficient farming, visit Dream Islands every day during the event to maximize your totals.
