Timber is the first mission that players take on for Banshee in Gray Zone Warfare. It functions essentially like Cache Retrieval for Gunny. Basically, allowing the player to get their feet wet and get a taste for what’s to come. However, you won’t be cutting any trees down and collecting wood here. As much as the title of the task seems to suggest. But, it doesn’t mean what you have to do isn’t something to mess around with. Many tasks in Gray Zone Warfare are lethal, and your skills are gonna be put to the test early on here. So it’s best to be prepared for what you have to do to complete Timber for Banshee. While also knowing what makes doing the mission for him worth it.
How to Complete Timber in Gray Zone Warfare
Players need to assassinate a target at the Sawmill on Lamang Island. More specifically, the leader of a militant group. As they are holding control over the area. It may sound like a simple objective off the cuff, but make no mistake, there is gonna be a firefight. If you aren’t sure where you’re looking to go, the following will get you there in no time:
- Land at either LZ Echo-1 or Echo-2. These will have you right outside the Sawmill.
- Next, head into the area and begin clearing out enemies. There are a lot of them here, so it may be best to pick some off from the perimeter.
- Proceed inward to the center of the Sawmill.
- The leader of the group is wearing black body armor and a helmet.
Once you take down the leader of the group, you are free to exfil if you want. However, it may be easier for your own safety to clear all enemies around the sawmill first. So you don’t run the risk of losing any gear if you get overwhelmed. Therefore, bringing in a longer-range weapon may be the best course of action.
Timber Rewards in Gray Zone Warfare
Cash and weapons are just part of the rewards for completing Timber. Once you turn in the task to Banshee, you get access to goodies that you can make use of in future tasks. All of the rewards for beating this task are listed below:
- 1,000 EXP
- +150 Reputation with Banshee
- 1x EXPS2 (Holographic Sight)
- 1x MP5 (SMG)
It’s a risky mission to go through. The rewards, though, make it worthwhile to take the chance on. More so because you get a free weapon and attachment when you finish. So you can always have something as a backup, just in case you lose what you have on you. Unfortunately, you don’t get any cash for taking down this task for Banshee. But whenever you get the opportunity to do any work, it’s always best. Just make sure to watch your back and bring plenty of firepower to clear the Sawmill.
