Gears of War E-Day System Requirements Revealed

Gears of War E-Day

Gears of War E-Day is shaping up to be one of the best entries in the long-running Gears of War franchise. Taking players back to the “good old days” before the Gears 4 timeskip, the game promises the return of fan-favorite characters and is slated to serve as somewhat of an origin story for Marcus and the others.

However, those who saw the game’s gameplay and visuals will know that the overall graphics seem top-notch. Fortunately, looking at the Gears of War E-Day system requirements, you likely won’t have to go out and upgrade your rig just to play this game.

Gears of War E-Day PC Features and Optimization

A large enemy in Gears of War E-Day

The Coalition has improved the PC version’s stability and performance across lots of hardware configurations since the Multiplayer Open Beta in July. Key PC features include Nvidia DLSS 4.5, AMD FSR 4, Intel XeSS 3.0, Variable Rate Shading, Hardware Ray-Traced Reflections, Shadows, and Global Illumination, alongside a built-in benchmark mode with advanced PC settings. The game has HDR and ultrawide support, and it’s optimized for handheld play on Steam Deck and Xbox Ally devices.

Gears of War E-Day’s requirements aren’t extremely demanding for an Unreal Engine 5 title, as 4K@60 FPS needs an RTX 5070 Ti rather than a flagship GPU like the RTX 5080 or 5090. The recommended tier, needing an RTX 3060 Ti for 1440p, ensures most players can run the game. The minimum tier only needs an RTX 2060, one of the weakest GPUs with Ray Tracing support, so the barrier to entry isn’t high.
