Total War Warhammer 3: Glottkin Guide (Lords of the End Times)

Glottkin

The Glottkin (Otto, Ethrac, and Ghurk) are a Warriors of Chaos Legendary Lord in the Total War Warhammer 3: Lords of the End Times, who lead the Host of the Triplets faction army. This guide will provide you with tips and tricks on how to complete the Glottkin campaign in the game.

Best Strategies for the Glottkin Campaign

Glottkin

The Glottkin function as a single monstrous melee caster lord with Otto the warrior and Ethrac the sorcerer, who ride the massive Chaos Spawn Ghurk. Focus your playstyle on heavy Nurgle corruption and plagues, and snowball it into the Empire.

MechanicsStrategies
Souls EconomyHarvest souls from battles and spend them on Gifts of Nurgle instead of the usual Undivided and dedicated god Gifts of Chaos.

These unlock stronger options as Nurgle corruption and your soul tally grow.

Gifts of NurgleUse Rituals of Decay as battle effects, which you can upgrade with higher soul thresholds.

Grandfather’s Blessings empower your lords and heroes, but only a limited number can be active at once.

Gardens of CorruptionConvert captured settlements into Gardens for more bonuses, generating Plagues, which you can spread.

This grants far higher access to Nurgle units than any other Warriors of Chaos faction, and you can still choose traditional Dark Fortresses.

Plagues & WarbandYou can generate high passive Nurgle corruption for Gardens to produce plagues and debuffs.

Warband upgrades allow your mortals and daemons to ascend into Marauders and Plaguebearers.

Diplomacy & ConfederationStrong ties to other Nurgle and Chaos factions allow you to confederate Festus.

Note that Nurgle factions cannot confederate the Glottkin, which are classified as Warriors of Chaos.

Legendary HeroesGutrot Spume is a heavy specialist with tentacles, Rot-Pocked Axe, and plague fleet.

The three Maggoth Lords can arrive via a quest chain, but a dilemma lets you promote only one to full lord status.

New UnitsPutrid Blightkings are the best infantry units in Axe & Shield, Great Weapons, or Dual Axes variants.

Others include Giant Spined Chaos Beast, Flayerkin, Chaos Siege Giant, Basilisk, and Regiments of Renown.

You begin in the icy wastes of Norsca near the Foul Monolith of Katam area, so focus on rapid consolidation of Norscan tribes rather than mere destruction. Here’s how:

  1. Secure your starting area and immediately push for nearby Norscan provincial capitals and settlements.
  2. Defeat and vassalize the major tribes, such as Skaeling, Varg, and others.
  3. Prioritize soul generation to unlock early Gifts and seed your first Gardens of Corruption.
  4. Focus on growth, unit experience, recruitment, and Nurgle allies.
  5. After Norsca, push south toward Altdorf and the destruction of the Empire.
