After opening exclusively on August 19 for those who pre-ordered the upcoming shooter, the beta has now been extended to all players for the duration of the weekend:

Clocking in at over 12.5GB, the Black Ops III beta packs in a host of content, exclusively focused on competitive multiplayer. Maps including Hunted, Combine and Evac and Stronghold are available for players to do battle in, with eight game modes present.
The demo also sees the introduction of Specialists to the iconic FPS series for the first time. These take the form of elite soldiers, each of whom have their own distinct personality, abilities and weaponry.
Treyarch has recently upped the level cap from 28 to 34, although no progress will be carried over from the beta to the final retail release of the title.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops III PS4 multiplayer beta is set to end on August 23, with PC and Xbox One users being granted access next week.
Several of the Power Up Gaming team have already jumped in on the action; expect to see our impressions by the end of the weekend.
