Early this morning via the Final Fantasy Facebook page, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy V will be coming to Steam on September 24, 2015. Like the Steam releases of Final Fantasy III and IV, this release will be an updated port of the mobile version that was released in 2013, and will include the same updated graphics and sprite art, the secret boss, Enuo, and an additional dungeon called the Sealed Temple.
Final Fantasy V was initially released in Japan in 1992 for the Super Famicom, and has since seen many updates and ports to various platforms, including the PlayStation, Game Boy Advance, iOS/Android, and now Steam. FFV offers players a higher range of freedom in class customization than any other Final Fantasy title, and allows you to change job classes as often as you’d like, giving the game a unique sense of personality and a huge amount of replay value.
For those who pre-order Final Fantasy V on Steam, a special 10% discount will be applied to their purchase.
