ECW announcer Joey Styles has been this week confirmed as a guest announcer for upcoming wrestling sim WWE 2K16.
The WWE’s current vice president of digital media content, Styles is best known for his tenure as the voice of cult ’90s indie promotion ECW, and the inimitable high-pitched catchphrases of ‘Oh my God!’ and ‘Catfight!’ that accompanied his commentary.
In a video message posted on the WWE2KDev YouTube channel, Styles confirmed he will lend his voice to this year’s 2K Showcase mode, which is focused on the career of legendary superstar ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin. The veteran will call the action as Steve Austin takes on Mikey Whipwreck at the ECW Arena in a recreation of their 1995 classic.
WWE 2K16 is scheduled to release on October 27 across current and last-gen consoles.
