The Yakuza 5 hype train continued on today, as Sega took to Twitch for an extended live stream of the highly anticipated English language version of the game.
Those tuning in with the hope of a finalised release date being announced were left disappointed, though the company did reaffirm the fact that the game is definitely ‘coming soon’.
Localisation producer Sam Mullen played through almost 90 minutes of the open-world action-adventure title, alongside Sega PR representative John Hardin. During the stream, the duo joked about the title’s protracted development cycle in the West, promising that ‘good things come to those who wait’. They then led into a showcase of Yakuza 5’s ‘Premium Adventure’, which is essentially a New Game Plus option, sans cutscenes and story progression.
Yakuza 5 originally launched for the PS3 in Japan in December 2012. Its Western release is expected to come via the PSN before the end of 2015.
