Mother 2, known to those outside Japan as Earthbound, was the only game in the Mother series to see a release in the west for some time. A leak from a Nintendo insider Emily Rogers suggests that the company may finally bring Mother 3 to Europe,and possibly North America. Rogers’ account has since been deleted.
Another Twitter user, Liam Robertson, aimed to clear things up a bit. “What I heard… was that it was in the final stages of localisation at Nintendo of Europe,” Robertson says.
He mentions that this is only a rumor and official confirmation of any kind has yet to emerge. If Mother 3 is localised, it will most likely come to Wii U, virtual console.
