After months of promising an “Early 2016” release, the very best Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy IX, has finally been released on Steam.
Aside from a mobile port released a few months back, this is the first time that Final Fantasy IX has been given any sort of graphical or gameplay update since its original release in 2000 on the PlayStation. This new release boasts upgraded character models, new menus, and some game “aids”, which are essentially built-in Gameshark cheats. These aids include instantly maximizing your stats, and running the game at an increased speed.
