Some players are reportedly receiving their copy of Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs 2 four days early, after Amazon’s Prime Now service in the UK apparently broke the game’s street date of November 15.
According to NeoGAF user Venom Fox, Prime Now – the arm of the online retailer that offers to delivery selected products from its main catalogue within two hours – delivered his PS4 San Francisco Edition of the open world hacking-themed action-adventure title to his door earlier this evening.
As Amazon Prime Now’s offering varies by region, we have not been able to independently verify that the game is still available to order in Manchester; at Power Up Gaming’s HQ in Leeds, we are not able to order the title.
In related news, a Reddit user MelvinW, who is based in the UAE, claims to have received his copy of the game early, too. He also confirmed that two day-one patches (1.01 and 1.02) – both 216MB in size – will be available for the game on launch.
Additionally, UK retailer Simply Games recently changed the status of Watch Dogs 2 from ‘pre-order’ to ‘in stock now’ on both Xbox One and PS4. We’ll have more on this developing story as we get it.
