Insomniac Games will not be showing off new content for its upcoming PS4-exclusive Spider-Man project at the PlayStation Experience or Game Awards this week, the company has today announced.
In a short tweet, the studio dispelled rumours of a possible Spidey appearance in 2016, which had gained traction after the web-slinger appeared in Sony’s PlayStation holiday commercial, and at a recent press-only PS4 Pro event.
Hey, Web-Heads! We’re not showing new #SpiderManPS4 content at PSX/The Game Awards,
but we’re hard at work on cool stuff to share in 2017! pic.twitter.com/AGs0zlaLtK— Insomniac Games (@insomniacgames) November 30, 2016
Little has been shared about the upcoming open world superhero title since its initial unveil at E3 back in June – so it is surely safe to assume that its release is a long way off yet.
