Update: Bossa Studios’ CEO Henrique Olifiers has provided us with a full statement on the issues, and vowed to patch them soon.
As we exclusively reported last week, Bossa Studios’ popular Surgeon Simulator has received a virtual reality makeover, with Surgeon Simulator: Experience Reality now available to purchase via the PlayStation Store for PSVR.
However, numerous users are reporting major problems with the $19.99 game’s controls and movement tracking, which reportedly renders the title virtually unplayable [1, 2, 3, 4].
We’ve had the chance to briefly player the game ourselves, and have watched a fair number of live streams over the last several hours; based on what we’ve seen, it certainly appears as though the aforementioned bugs are widespread.
Ealier today, Bossa’s PR and social media manager Poppy Byron took to Reddit to acknowledge the issues in an apologetic post:
“We’re really, really sorry that you’re having these problems with the game, and want to make sure it’s fixed as soon as humanly possible. The dev team aren’t in work today, but I’ll bring this to your attention first thing Monday morning so they can start checking it out. Any videos/bug reports that you can send us will really help with the fixing process.
Again, really sorry you’re not having fun with this. We’ll get back to you with an update really soon.”
