God of War Dev Confirms ‘Full’ Game Playable Internally; Says Studio are ‘Fucking Awesome’

Hours after confirming ‘something special’ would be revealed when the God of War PS4 trailer hits 15 million views, game director Cory Barlog has revealed that the game is internally playable start to finish.

The Sony Santa Monica executive took to Twitter earlier to respond to a number of new fan questions, after previously confirming that most of the motion capture scenes for the upcoming action-adventure reboot have now been shot.

In response to praise from social media users with regards to the God of War E3 2016 gameplay trailer becoming the most viewed PlayStation game trailer of all time (standing at a little over 14 million views and surpassing the Final Fantasy VII remake reveal), Barlog paid tribute to its development team:

In response to a fan requesting a new trailer and gameplay details in time for Christmas, Barlog replied that “there are things [he] can’t say yet”, but he would “scream it from the rooftops” when he is able to divulge more information.

The developer also went on to confirm that God of War is now in a playable state from start to finish:

Meanwhile, the game’s character art director Rafael Grassetti took to Instagram to unveil Sony Santa Monica’s God of War-themed 2016 holiday card:
