The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is set to receive a Nintendo Switch port, developer Nicalis Inc. has today confirmed.
The top-down roguelike will hit Nintendo’s upcoming console this spring on both physical and digital formats. Retailer Amazon has already opened up pre-orders for the $39.99 title, and claims it is being published by Sega of America (we are awaiting clarification).
The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+, created by designer Edmund McMillen, features randomly generated dungeons, ensuring an “infinitely replayable adventure in which every new gameplay session is different from the last”.
In a press release, Nicalis founder and president Tyrone Rodriguez said: “The Nintendo Switch launch line-up isn’t complete without Isaac.
“The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is the definitive ‘day one’ purchase for any players who want a Nintendo Switch.”
Nicalis is also set to release futuristic racer Redout for the system, which seems heavily inspired by the likes of F-Zero and Wipeout.
