Between now and January 26, Super Mario Run players will receive extra coins for playing Super Mario Run’s Toad Rally mode.
In an in-game notification sent out earlier, Nintendo confirmed the launch of the Loads of Coins Event, which will see players being awarded 1.5 times as many coins as usual for participating in the mobile title’s asynchronous multiplayer mode.
The notice goes on to state that the multiplier only applies to winning users, as “if you lose, the number of coins you’ll receive will be the same as usual”.
The news comes as Nintendo announced earlier today that Super Mario Run would launch for Android devices via the Play Store in March.
